Jon Aguirresarobe
CINEMATOGRAPHER.
Jon Aguirresarobe was born and raised in San Sebastian, Spain and studied Fine Arts at the renowned San Fernando School (Complutense University of Madrid) in the painting and photography program. While in school, Jon formulated and implemented development projects in Tindouf, Sahara and Kolkata, India as project coordinator, taught children, and took documentary pictures. After completing his degree, he spent four years working with commercial directors as an art director for pre-production and as a still photographer on set. He also worked as set designer and collaborated with magazines as a still photographer. Jon graduated in 2010 as a Cinematographer from the American Film Institute and is now working as a cinematographer based out of Los Angeles. Jon has worked as cinematographer on several short films and music videos.
In addition he has also interned with award-winning DP Javier Aguirresarobe on such films as Twilight: Eclipse and Fright Night.
Jon is fluent in Spanish, Basque and English.
